The KinderReaders Story
KinderReaders was established in 2003 by Sandi Reyes, a kindergarten teacher looking for a better way to reach each and every student. By combining the ideas of differentiated instruction, basic guided reading principles, and the creation of a strong home/school partnership, our basic line of products was created. We offer printable books for guided reading, with each story presented on 4 different levels as well as a wordless version for even further differentiation. The newest editions feature interactive books that can be viewed and read on screen.
Shortly after launching the KinderReaders series, Sandi began working with Amanda Post of A to Z Teacher Stuff to introduce the series to the world in A to Z Teacher Stuff’s store. The series became an instant bestseller and has been used to teach children all over the world. In 2010, Sandi passed the torch to Amanda and KinderReaders became part of the A to Z Teacher Stuff family. The updated edition of the titles features a new set of illustrations and each of the levels has been correlated to standard leveling systems for guided reading including Fountas & Pinnell, Reading Recovery, and more.
